Shriners Hospitals for Children supports their respective communities by providing children up to the ages of 18 with the highest quality of care possible. The hospital, which specializes in treating orthopaedic disorders and conditions, will provide its services to any child, regardless of his or her family’s ability to pay. It is for these acts of kindness that we all must in turn do our part and extend an assisting hand.
The brotherhood of the Iota Nu chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity formed a partnership with Shriners Hospital for Children – Tampa to assist in fundraising, increasing awareness and supporting this incredible organization. Six years ago, our chapter established Singing For Shriners at the University of South Florida to do just that.
This year, we have decided to partner with Bulls for Kids because they will be donating all the proceeds to Shriners Hospital for Children – Tampa! Our partnership with Bulls for Kids was established to bolster participation and efficiency between USF Greek life and Bulls for Kids.
The days leading up to the main event will be an important time to raise money and awareness for the hospital on campus. Raising money in these instances at our fundraisers, including our giveback nights, Pie-A-Theta Chi & Valentine’s Day Carnations for the Patients will go toward Money Raised which will bolster your organization’s chance at overall victory.
There will also be opportunities to earn points by having the most attendance and having the photos with the most “likes” on Theta Chi’s official social media accounts, through the purchase of event shirts and by percentage of organization attendance at the event.
